The Paint in My Blood by Alan M. Clark is an 8 1/2 by 11 inch, 152 page, full-color book, containing over 130 paintings from a wide spectrum of the artist's work. Featured are works of fine art as well as genre illustration, including science fiction, fantasy and horror. There are 12 pieces from the Dead Wood series, 10 pieces from the Pain Doctors series, illustrations from young-adult, children's books and biology text books. The text includes commentary by the artist on his artistic process, techniques, the philosophies behind his approach to illustration and his career in the freelance illustration business.
